I am delighted to welcome you to the new Melior Community College website. As many of you will know we moved into our brand new school in June of this year, consequently in preparation for our new virtual learning environment this website is still under construction. It is however, worth a good browse!

 

It has been a long process and entailed a massive amount of work, having been involved at every stage of the design process I know that the young people of Melior and their teachers will have an amazing environment in which to teach and learn. The new building is a state of the art design with every student having their own netbook. The classrooms will look stunning with every piece of furniture being brand new, they are mechanically ventilated so we do not get too hot in the summer and temperature controlled in the winter so that we stay nice and warm. The atrium forms the heart of the school where youngsters will meet for assemblies and for break and lunch. This area houses a fantastic drama and dance studio with a dedicated lighting room and 250 tiered seats that come out from the wall. The sports facilities are second to none with a larger than average sports hall, activity studio, fitness suite and numerous outdoor facilities including an amazing floodlit all weather pitch.
